B&B Haerlekijn

Your hosts, Annick and Frank!

Because Frank saw no future in farming, he decided to convert the farm of his grandfather, and later his father - and where Frank himself lived until the age of six - into a beautiful guesthouse. Stables were demolished and the large barn was completely transformed! Of course, the growing appeal of the beautiful region was an added bonus! On May 1, 2012, the B&B was officially opened and they served their first breakfast. Frank and Annick, both coming from a commercial job, now run B&B Haerlekijn with heart and soul. The expression "turning your passion into your profession" is right up their alley!!!

And the name? It is the result of a word mix of their family names Haerden, Leekens and the children: Haer le kijn. Annick and Frank live with their teenagers Flor (14) and Emiel (17) in the adjoining house. The boys also contribute at busy times in the guesthouse! They enjoy sharing their garden and trampoline with other teenagers, and sometimes even join them as 'guides' on bike rides...!

In addition to the five rooms, there is also an inviting terrace with wooden garden furniture, a large garden to hang out in, relax in the sunbeds or enjoy a drink in the shade, or play a game of Kubb or Pingpong; a cozy breakfast and sitting area with Honesty bar & gas fireplace ánd a covered carport with bicycle storage and 'frog table'!
